Spotify is working with labels to curb AI use


Spotify’s CEO Daniel Ek has recently addressed some of the looming worries about the implications of AI in the music industry, and what that might mean for artists, labels and rights holders.


As the copyright industry and labels begin to push back on these new AI related issues (Like the recent Fake Drake song created with AI) There certainly needs to be a balance between using AI for innovation and creative expression, and allowing AI to straight up steal an artists name, likeness and musical style.


While there’s not yet an immediate solution to this problem, it’s good to know that companies like Spotify are taking the AI influx very seriously and working towards solutions that will hopefully protect creators in the industry, while allowing this type of technology a chance to thrive in the most humane way possible.
